Crédito Agrícola has strengthened its offering of payment solutions for merchants with the integration of UnionPay International into CA Crédito Agrícola PAY, allowing business customers to accept payments with UPI cards at physical terminals and e-commerce channels.
According to the bank, this integration will now be available across the entire offering, including automatic payment terminals, smartPOS solutions and online payment gateways.
The new functionality expands the payment methods that merchants can make available to their customers, in response to the increasing digitalization and internationalization of consumer habits.
Solution aimed at tourism, retail, hotels and restaurants
According to Crédito Agrícola, UnionPay International has “an international presence and strong use by customers from the Asian market”, being presented as “the largest card network in the world in terms of number of cards issued, with a presence in more than 180 countries”.
The integration of UnionPay cards into CA Crédito Agrícola PAY allows the bank’s merchant customers to diversify the payment methods available and capture new business flows, especially among international consumers who use this network.
The solution is particularly relevant for sectors such as tourism, retail, hotels, restaurants and international trade, areas with strong exposure to foreign customers.
O considers that this evolution reinforces its value proposition in the payment acceptance segment, by providing merchants with “a more complete, simple solution adapted to the needs of an increasingly digital, omnichannel and international market”.
With this initiative, the bank claims to continue “its strategy of continuous development of its offer for companies”, focusing on solutions that promote the competitiveness of merchants, facilitate relationships with customers and monitor the evolution of payment habits.
