24 search and seizure warrants are being executed in 10 states and the Federal District
This Thursday morning (June 25, 2026), the Federal Police launched operation Desmascarados, with the aim of repressing crimes of child and adolescent sexual abuse committed over the internet. 24 search and seizure warrants are being executed in 10 states (Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Pará, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo), in addition to the Federal District.
In , the PF said that investigations indicate that the suspects used fake profiles on messaging applications. They pretended to be children and teenagers.”to gain the trust of underage victims.”.
The suspects “they induced victims to produce and share intimate images, which were later disseminated in virtual groups and other internet environments”.
Investigators identified evidence of sharing child sexual abuse material and exchanging messages related to the commission of crimes against children and adolescents – facts that, according to the PF, remain under investigation.
Those investigated may be held liable for the following crimes:
- storage, production and sharing of child sexual abuse material;
- grooming of children and adolescents via the internet;
- rape of a vulnerable person;
- criminal association.
Police said other crimes may be identified during the investigation.
This Thursday’s operation (June 25) has the support of the São Paulo Civil Police, through the 4th Police Station for the Repression of Pedophilia.
