In a statement, the government of Roraima stated that it had begun an adjustment process in the public sector to make administration more efficient. He also said that the dismissals will be reappointed according to the real needs of each department.

“The measure provides for the resizing of direct and indirect administration staff to identify the real needs of each body, paving the way for filling vacancies through public competitions,” he stated.

The mass dismissal was also carried out by the Legislative Assembly of Roraima. There, the projection is that more than 4 thousand occupants of positions of trust have been dismissed.

According to the publication in the House’s Official Gazette, the measure covers all parliamentary offices, superintendencies and linked bodies. The act is signed by the president of the House, state deputy Jorge Everton (Union), and by the first and second secretaries of the Board of Directors.
