The Vienna Library in the town hall takes over the extensive archive of the Austrian PEN Club and with it “an important documentation of Austrian literary history,” as it said in a broadcast on Friday. The acquisition of the 250 archive boxes is intended to make the history of Austria’s oldest writers’ association comprehensible and accessible to research.
