The Military Police carried out the removing irregular speed bumps which, according to the corporation, they would have been installed by criminals in the Community of Paraisópolisin the south of São Paulo, this Thursday (25).
According to the PM, the speed bumps were placed after Operations intensified at the site.
Still according to the corporation, the structures were placed on public roads without any indication of following the standards provided for in the Brazilian Traffic Code and Cotran resolutions (National Traffic Council).
The Public Security Secretariat reinforced that the facilities make it difficult for vehicles to circulate and respond to police and emergency incidents.

In the early morning before the actions, an operation to combat trafficking was carried out in the community. During the work, police seized drugs stored by criminals. The incident was reported at the 75th Police District of the Civil Police.
Authorities claim that, this year alone, actions resulted in the seizure of more than two tons of drugs, firearms, arrests in the act and the execution of court warrants against members of criminal organizations.
