Algarve 2030 launches 3 million to modernize business areas

The Algarve 2030 Regional Program launched a call for competition with an allocation of 3 million euros, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to support projects for the creation, expansion and requalification of non-technology-based Business Reception Areas in the Algarve.

The competition, identified as ALGARVE-2026-9, is aimed at public and private entities with skills in promoting competitiveness and managing these infrastructures, including municipalities, municipal companies, associations of municipalities and companies managing business areas.

According to CCDR Algarve, the notice aims to “improve the conditions for the installation and growth of companies, reinforce regional competitiveness, attract investment and promote the diversification of the Algarve economy”, with a particular focus on industry and knowledge-intensive services.

Support can reach 65% of the investment

The support provides for a basic financing rate of 60%, which can reach 65% upon meeting the defined results targets. The investments to be supported cover the modernization of the region’s business areas, including the qualification of infrastructure, equipment, accessibility and solutions aligned with digital, energy and environmental transitions.

The measure aims to create more attractive conditions for establishing companies, promoting qualified employment and strengthening the competitive capacity of the regional business fabric. According to Algarve 2030, the support is intended to make the Algarve’s business areas more competitive and prepared to respond to new economic challenges.
