Lula government will send a third humanitarian flight to Venezuela after earthquakes

The Lula (PT) government informed, this Saturday (27), that it will send a third humanitarian flight to Venezuela com medicine kits e complement module for the installation of a field hospital. The operation is part of the international effort to reinforce assistance to victims of the earthquakes that hit the country on Wednesday (24).

According to the government, the set of medicines is aimed at assistance in emergency situations and contains essential items such as antibiotics, pain relievers, anti-inflammatories, injectable solutions, restraints, gazes, infusion devices, syringes, gloves, adhesive plasters e masks.

In total, Brazil will send five calamity kitswith a total of 111.8 thousand medicines and supplies to Venezuela. With the kits, around 1,500 people can receive care for a month. Donations to the neighboring country do not compromise the stock of the Unified Health System (SUS).

The first team from the Government of Brazil to support the response to the earthquakes that hit Venezuela took off on Friday (26), from the Guarulhos Air Base (SP), in a FAB KC-390 Millennium aircraft. The plane landed, at 11:40 pm (Brasília time), at the Venezuelan Air Force El Libertador Military Base, in Maracay.
