RIO DE JANEIRO, June 29 (Reuters) – The Búzios field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt, reached an average daily production of 1.2 million barrels per day of oil last Friday, three days after recording 1.1 million barrels/day, with a boost from new platforms, Reuters told Reuters. Petrobras.
‘The new record was achieved with the expansion of the activities of the P-78 and P-79 platforms, which are in the process of developing production to reach maximum capacity (‘ramp up’), of 180 thousand bpd per day ‘each’, stated the company.
The Búzios field, the largest in deep waters in the world, has eight production units in operation: the platforms P-74, P-75, P-76, P-77, P-78, P-79 and the FPSOs Almirante Barroso and Almirante Tamandaré.

In total, 12 FPSOs will operate in the field. FPSOs P-80, P-82 and P-83 are still under construction; and, under bidding, the Búzios 12 unit, according to a note from Petrobras.
