The Quarteira Summer Fair opens this year in an atmosphere of celebration and cultural exchange with Arraial da TU 2026, an initiative promoted by Associação Talentos Unidos.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 4th, between 7:00 pm and 11:45 pm, and promises to transform the Fair’s stage into a celebration of Brazilian popular culture, bringing together gastronomy, music, dance and conviviality.
Inspired by traditional popular festivals in Brazil, Arraial da TU 2026 will feature typical Brazilian dishes, a Quadrilha performance and a night dedicated to forró, a rhythm that invites residents and visitors to dance and celebrate until the end of the night.
After the strong participation recorded in the previous edition, also held at the Summer Fair, the organization hopes to bring together hundreds of people again, consolidating the event as a moment of meeting between cultures and boosting summer programming in the municipality of Loulé.
Festival unites Portuguese and Brazilian traditions
More than a party, Arraial da TU aims to promote integration between communities, valuing the cultural diversity that marks the Algarve and creating new opportunities for socializing between residents, visitors and families.
Selma Ferreira, president of Associação Talentos Unidos, highlights that it is “with enormous joy and a deep sense of pride that we see the birth of the 3rd edition of Arraial da TU, an event organized in a supportive manner, which is only possible thanks to the involvement of dozens of residents of Quarteira and the region, who dedicate their time and talent to the entertainment, organization and stalls at the site”.
The person responsible adds that, for the association, “this party is a celebration that unites the traditions of the Portuguese Popular Saints with the Brazilian Festas Juninas, it represents much more than a moment of leisure: it is a tribute to the cultural roots that unite Portugal and Brazil and a reinforcement of friendship, respect and integration between our peoples”.
Selma Ferreira also leaves “my most sincere thanks to all the volunteers, participants, partners and entities who believe in this project, especially the Loulé City Council and the Quarteira Parish Council for their support and trust that make this celebration possible”.
United Talents highlights inclusion and interculturality
The initiative is organized by the Talentos Unidos Association, with the support of the Loulé City Council and the Quarteira Parish Council.
The program also counts on the collaboration of Studio Tropicana, directed by professor Vânia Pipard, and Caipibrasil, by Telio Ribeiro, partners who contribute to the authenticity of the artistic and cultural programming.
The organization invites the population, families, tourists and visitors to join this celebration, which marks the beginning of the Quarteira Summer Fair with music, color, tradition and hospitality.
