The minister, from the (Superior Federal Court), asked for an opinion from the (Attorney General’s Office) on the request for investigation into the case “”, a film about the life of the former president that was allegedly financed with money from the former banker, owner of Master.
The sending to the Attorney General of the Republic, took place this Tuesday (30). The head of the MPF (Federal) will define whether there are already enough elements to request the formal opening of an investigation to investigate the transfers.
Last week, the president of the STF, defined that the request for investigation was made by the deputy (-RJ), and not by the minister.
Fachin stated that the episodes narrated by the parliamentarian coincide with the subject of other processes that are already the responsibility of Mendonça, rapporteur of the investigations into Master’s financial fraud.
Lindbergh called the STF after the website The Intercept Brasil released an audio in which the senator (-RJ), pre-candidate for president of the Republic, asks Vorcaro for money to pay for the feature film.
Initially, the request to investigate the case went to Moraes’ office, as Lindbergh claimed that Vorcaro’s payments may have been intended for the former deputy (PL-SP)’s stay in the United States, a case that is being reported by the minister.
As president of the STF, however, Fachin assessed that Mendonça should focus everything regarding the suspicious payments made by Vorcaro. The former banker is in preventive detention in the unit known as Papudinha.
Mendonça’s first act in the case was to consult the PGR — a protocol procedure, since the Public Ministry is the body of the Justice system responsible for requesting the opening of criminal investigations. There is no set deadline for Gonet’s opinion to be sent to the magistrate.
Flávio denies irregularities. The senator said that to make the film, he withheld this information from allies due to a confidentiality clause in the contract.
