New uses ‘LinkedIn’ to select municipal secretaries – 11/11/2024 – Panel

After registering growth in the municipal elections, it is looking for secretaries for its administrations through a recruitment process similar to that of job vacancy websites.

On the party’s digital channels, it is possible to access various job offers for municipal secretaries and office advisors for councilors. Novo and increased its bench of councilors from 29 to 262.

“We have already used this model in the past, but now we have better structured the dissemination in view of the growth in the number of cities administered by the party”, says Tiago Mitraud, president of the Libertas Institute, linked to the party, which is in charge of the selection process.

Among the vacancies available last week were for controller general of the municipality in Pompéu (MG), attorney general of the municipality in Pirassununga (SP) and secretary of Social Assistance for Guarantã do Norte (MT).

The selection process includes CV analysis, tests and interviews. The party carries out an initial screening and sends interested parties to the final stage with the mayor or councilor. The process is open to anyone, whether or not affiliated with the party.

“Many selected are career civil servants who already have a technical base, but who, due to the influence of political appointments, never managed to have a chance”, says Mitraud. According to him, for some vacancies there are more than 100 interested parties.

Novo has a tradition of selecting staff and candidates through selection processes, within the party’s philosophy of privileging “meritocracy”.
