After eight episodes, “Penguin” has come to an end. The eighth chapter of the series that follows the DC Comics villain aired on HBO on Sunday night (10) and Max is available. Now the question remains: Will there be a second season?
Set in , the setting of Batman and , the production follows Oz Cobb, also known as the Penguin. The plot continues the events of the Batman character’s last film, focusing on Cobb’s rise within the mafia.
The production stars the Oscar-nominated actor (“Na Mira do Boss” and ““), who also plays the character in ““ (2022).
Will “Penguin” have a second season?
The second season of “Pinguim” has not yet been confirmedbut protagonist Colin Farrell revealed that , that .
“I was told I have five or six scenes. I have no hopes or expectations. (…) Which doesn’t mean I’m going to back down and not argue or fight about Oz – I believe I know him better than anyone now.”
Series showrunner Lauren LeFranc talked about the chances of a second season at an event in New York in October.
“We put everything on the table. I think to do a second season we have to feel like we can overcome ourselves. We have to feel like there is something more to really delve into,” he said.
“I really care about all of these characters, even though they are terrible people… They were a joy to write, even though they are complicated and strange and darkly funny. I think Gotham City is a really fun sandbox to play in and I’d love to keep playing in it, but I think it has to be the right thing. We should never do anything just for the sake of doing it”, he continued.
