Americans approve 2nd Trump administration, but are divided into tariffs, says research

According to the poll, 53% approve of the Republican’s work in the first weeks of the new term, compared to 47%

Most Americans approve the beginning of the second government of US President Donald Trump, indicates a survey conducted by YouGov to CBS and released on Sunday (9).

According to the poll, 53% of US adults approve of the Republican’s work in the first weeks of the new term, compared to 47% that fail. For comparison, a similar CBS survey indicated 40% approval for Trump in February 2017 at the beginning of the first management.

Despite this, the consultation suggests divergent opinions about Trump’s efforts to impose a protectionist trade policy. Most (56%) said in favor of tariffs to the United States, but 56% oppose similar measures against Mexico. Tariffs to Europe (60% disapproval) and Canada (62%) are even more unpopular.
