Elon Musk, head of the US Government Efficiency Department (Doge), said that “unless we are stopped, we will reach $ 1 trillion economies.” He also pointed out that, without the support of President Donald Trump, “we would not do any progress.”
In an interview with Fox Business, Musk stressed that Democrats are not interested in allowing the doge to follow their activities, suggesting that the Trump opposition party could suspend department’s operations. “They don’t want us to end fraud and spending. This is what pays the stay of illegal immigrants in the country, ”he said.
About the Doge team, Tesla’s CEO revealed that about 100 people currently work in the department, and that the goal is to reach 200 members. Subsequently, asked if it made sense to reduce positions in other sectors of the government to increase economies and, at the same time, to expand the number of Doge employees, Musk emphasized: “I’m just here to increase government efficiency and we are making progress. I don’t want the US giving default. We are practically in every departments of the US government. ”
He also stressed that “all doge receipts” are available on the internet, highlighting the transparency of the department.
When asked about the recent falls in Tesla’s actions, Musk responded with humor: “Try to look at the positive side,” but avoided giving more details or commenting on the specific reasons for the fall.
Already about the virtual attack recorded today to X, Musk pointed out that IP addresses in Ukraine “were involved in the massive cyberatoque” against the social network. However, he did not go into detail and said his team is investigating what happened with the platform.
