American Airlines Boeing ignites and passengers are removed to the wing of the plane

An American Airlines plane burned down on Thursday night at Denver International Airport in Colorado after an emergency landing. The incident occurred next to the C38 boarding door, where the aircraft, which carried 178 passengers, was quickly evacuated.

Images shared on social networks show passengers out of the plane’s wing, while emergency teams controlled the flames. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), at least 12 people were injured, but there is no record of serious victims.

Authorities are investigating the causes of the fire, which has caused moments of panic, but the rapid response of the rescue teams has avoided a more tragic outcome.
