The Brazilian team begins, this Monday (11), preparations for the last double round of the year for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The first challenge will be against Venezuela, on Thursday (14), at 6pm , in Maturín. Then, Amarelinha will come to Salvador, to face Uruguay, on the 19th, at 9:45 pm, at Arena Fonte Nova.

In an interview with CBF TV, coach Dorival Júnior praised the Bahian fan, and said he hoped to return the encouragement with an important performance.

“The people have always welcomed the Brazilian team very well, and again we will have an opportunity to be in Salvador, I hope we can repay the fans’ affection with a great performance. The Uruguayan team is very well prepared, they are ahead of us at this moment in the phase qualifying and it will be a fundamental game, so that we can consolidate our path, as long as we also play a safe and balanced game”, he stated.

After a difficult start in the Qualifiers, the national team won two consecutive victories at Data-Fifa in October, against Chile (2×1, away from home) and Peru (4×0, in Brasília). Despite the good moment, Dorival paid attention to Venezuela, who have not yet lost at home.

“I hope that we can take advantage of everything that was done in the previous two games. We took positive things and we will take them to such an important match. Venezuela is undefeated at their stadium, playing with great property, and we will have a difficult commitment, however , I believe we are even better prepared than in previous matches”, he commented.

With an eye on the duel against the Venezuelans, Amarelinha will hold its first training session this Monday (11), at Mangueirão, in Belém. The group will continue preparations in the capital of Pará until Wednesday (13). With short preparation, Dorival highlighted the maintenance of the group.

“We will practically only have two periods of training to face Venezuela. We will have to be very careful, above normal preparation for a game in which we will need all the strength possible, so that we can find the best result. These are players who have already know, who are starting to find an important path, which I hope will be even better after these two consecutive matches”.
