TEHRAN – Tehran has lodged a complaint with authorities in Moscow after the “violent” arrest of two Iranian students in the southwestern Russian city of Kazan, demanding an explanation for the incident. Iran sent a “protest note” to the Russian Foreign Ministry condemning “violent treatment of Iranian students by the police,” the Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.
