Every November, the streets, offices and social networks are filled with men with distinctive mustaches. However, this phenomenon has a deeper meaning than it might seem at first glance. Movember, as the campaign is called, is a worldwide movement that aims to raise awareness about men’s health.
The aim of this exceptional initiative is draw attention to serious problems affecting men around the world, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer or mental health. It was the mustache that became the symbol of the campaign. Cultivating them during November is both a challenge and an unobtrusive way to stir up debates on sensitive topics.
One of the well-known personalities who has participated in this challenge several times is former hockey player Marián Gáborík (42). “Guys, who’s joining?” he wrote in early November to a photo in which he has a mustache and added a tag movember and raising prostate cancer awareness.
He hasn’t shaved for almost a whole month Marián’s beard has already grown a lot. Moderator Matej Sajfa Cifra (45) also noticed it, who immediately made a joke at his expense. “This famous Austrian porn actor (with his moustache) on the air tomorrow,” wrote Sajfa to the joint photo, which you can find in the gallery.
