Sara Norte was one of the commentators on the SIC Caras program ‘Passadeira Vermelha’ this Wednesday, May 13th. Along with David Motta and Hugo Mendes, the actress also gave her opinions on the main current topics but, at a certain point, addressed another subject that was not on the program.
As she was recently on Flávio Furtado’s podcast ‘The Leite Show’ and revealed who was “taking away” from the panel of commentators of the format where she works and that the topic generated controversy in the press and on social media, the commentator decided to clarify the episode.
“Can I just say one little thing? Okay, I’ll say that I don’t like phones in the room. I think that if we are women enough to say things, we are too… And I wasn’t forced to say anything, because thank God I work at a television station where there is no censorship (…). I went to Flávio Furtado’s podcast and was asked – as has already been asked here, in our games – they asked me who I would fire. I would never say professionally who I would think, because I don’t think I have nor skills, I think it’s ugly, so I went for “someone who doesn’t need it”, but I have nothing against the people I spoke to”began by contextualizing, referring to Carolina Ortigão and Zulmira Garrido.
After listening to the commentator, Liliana Campos decided to intervene and give Sara Norte a small ‘reprimand’, even suggesting what kind of response she should have given to Flávio Furtado.
“But you also exposed our show, Sara. Since you’re being so honest, let’s talk. When it was done here between us, we were all in a joke. In a game. It’s completely different in a podcast interview. What you, to me, should have done, honestly, was… You said, “Nobody, because they’re all important.” Even if you don’t feel like it, because you exposed the show and exposed two people who are really people who have always stood up for you.”he began by saying.
After listening to the actress’ apology to Carolina Ortigão, the presenter also gave her opinion on the argument used by Sara Norte regarding the financial situation of her colleagues, but also on the fact that she spoke about the commentators’ salaries in general.
“(…) This has to do with the weaknesses of the program, because the program is not the Santa Casa da Misericórdia, it’s not just because people need money that they come here, that’s it! Everyone has their strengths and skills and the fact that they are people who even have a different standard of living and who live with other people makes the program richer! (…) You are exposing our program, you are exposing weaknesses in the program, because at home no one has any business knowing if they win Plus, if you earn less (…), suddenly everyone is less than what you earn!”.
Attentive to the words of the presenter, but also of her colleagues, Sara Norte accepted the opinions and then left a sincere reflection, admitting that she is carrying out “therapy” sessions, with a view to “calming the popcorn”: “I, at this moment in my life, and I will be as honest as possible, I need peace in my head, recent times have not been easy, I am recovering very calmly, psychologically. There have been many years of ‘Treadmill’, many years in which I am the punching bag of many people and I need peace and tranquility. (…) Punching bag of many followers, many comments, wish me death, etc. I am made of iron, but I am not invincible”he said.
