US President Donald Trump introduced businesspeople who make up his entourage to China to the Chinese leader
The president of China, (Communist Party of China), said this Thursday (May 14, 2026) that the country “it will increasingly open its doors to the world”. The statement was made to executives accompanying the President of the United States (Republican Party) on his visit to Beijing.
During the first meeting of the China-US summit held in Beijing, Trump personally introduced each member of his delegation to the Chinese president. In his opening speech, Trump declared that he brought the North American business elite to China and that everyone to whom he sent the invitation promptly accepted.
“I just wanted the top. And they are here today to pay tribute to you, to China”disse Trump. “And they are eager to negotiate, to do business. It will be a completely reciprocal relationship on our part.”said the North American.
After being introduced to the executives, Xi said it is a good time to do business in China, as the country tends to open up more and more to foreign companies. The Chinese leader declared that North American companies will enjoy increasingly broader prospects in the Asian nation.
Trump’s entourage brings together at least 17 executives from companies worth more than US$1 trillion. Among them are:

- Tim Cook (Apple);
- Jensen Huang (Nvidia);
- Kelly Ortberg (Boeing);
- Larry Culp (GE Aerospace);
- Dina Powell McCormick (Meta);
- Stephen Schwarzman (Blackstone);
- Chuck Robbins (Cisco);
- Sanjay Mehrotra (Micron);
- Michael Miebach (Mastercard);
- Cristiano Amon (Qualcomm);
- Ryan McInerney (Visa).
