Killington/Mont Tremblant – Mikaela Shiffrin reaches for her 100th World Cup victory in Killington. The 29-year-old American leads the first round of the giant slalom in 55.78 seconds, 0.32 seconds ahead of Sweden’s Sara Hector and 0.61 ahead of Norway’s Thea Louise Stjernesund. Things were largely miserable for the Austrians in the US state of Vermont: Katharina Liensberger, Julia Scheib and Stephanie Brunner were eliminated. Elisabeth Kappaurer (4.15) and Franziska Gritsch (4.93) missed qualification for the second round. After 47 runners, the best was Ricarda Haaser (+1.85) in 13th place.
