Cooking enthusiasts do not fail to follow his adventures. Thus, Internet users who follow him on Instagram discovered that he had gone to Cancale, a region populated by 5,435 inhabitants. It is renowned for its wild flat oysters from natural beds existing in deep water and more recently for its farmed cupped oysters. So, the 55-year-old man went to visit oyster farmers as he revealed in the story. He actually posted photos of a refining park. “Cancale in the hold”, we can read in the caption.

Laurent Mariotte then went to La pointe du Grouin. An exceptional site with a breathtaking view. It remains to be seen when Laurent Mariotte will return to Paris. Let us remember that his daily life is. The presenter of the first channel in fact owns the farm which is located on the family agricultural estate near Épinal (Vosges). “As a child, I took the cows to the field in the evening. My father, who was a farmer, died when I was 2 years old. So I was raised by my mother, a caregiver, my grandparents and my six uncles“, he recalled to the Parisian.

Then, Laurent Mariotte added: “I grew up on this farm, to the rhythm of the seasons and the village’s three vegetable gardens. One of them was absolutely magical, it was closed, we had a key to enter and it was a real garden of vegetable Eden. There were potatoes, salads, pear trees, rhubarb, honey… We lived almost self-sufficiently, with just the baker coming by every day, the butcher twice a week, and the fishmonger. Friday. There was even a traveling bank!
