Czech Minister for Local Development Zuzana Mrázová was verbally and physically attacked by a 44-year-old woman during the past weekend. It happened in the town of Bílina in the Ústán region, where the politician lives. On Friday, the Czech police reported on the incident on the X social network, stating that there were no injuries. The minister also took part in Thursday’s extraordinary meeting in the Chamber of Deputies, informs the correspondent of TASR in Prague.

“Teplice police officers are investigating an incident that happened over the weekend in Bílina. The suspect, a 44-year-old woman, verbally and physically attacked the Minister for Local Development, Zuzana Mrázová. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the conflict. Criminal investigators are examining the circumstances and motive of the attack itself,” the police said on the X network.

According to her, based on the findings so far, it can be ruled out that this was a politically motivated act. Criminal investigators accused the woman of making dangerous threats and filed a motion to take her into custody, which the state attorney did not accept. “Due to the personality of the accused, the police contacted the provider of health services and managed to hospitalize the woman in accordance with the Act on Health Services in a medical facility,” the police added.
