Coach Tite, formerly of Flamengo and the Brazilian team, does not intend to coach Brazilian teams in 2025. Despite surveys from Grêmio and Atlético-MG, the coach’s plans seem well underway.

In his career, Tite stood out for winning the Club World Cup with Corinthians in 2012.
Outside of Brazil, he only coached Al Ain, in 2007, and Al Wahda, in 2010, both from Saudi Arabia. In recent months, Tite has been traveling with his family to different countries, as recorded by Matheus Bachi, his son and assistant, on social media.

What led to Tite being fired by Flamengo?
Tite left Flamengo with 70 games played, 42 wins, 12 draws and 16 defeats, a score of 65.7% of the points. His story with Flamengo began in the final stretch of the 2023 Brazilian Championship, and in a positive way.
After being eliminated from the cups, Tite was successful in his mission to classify Flamengo for the 2024 Libertadores, finishing the Brazilian in fourth. The following year, he started well, beating Carioca undefeated and conceding just one goal.

The evaluation of his work began to change with the Brazilian championship. Even with the investment made in the squad, Flamengo suffered several injuries and Tite was unable to put together a good sequence with the available pieces.
Even fighting at the top of the Brazilian Championship and surviving in the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil, football did not please the red and black fans. With Penãrol eliminated from the South American tournament, Tite lost the “alive in three competitions” argument and the pressure became unsustainable.
At the Brazilian Championship, he saw his title chances become extremely distant. Flamengo is currently fourth, with 48 points, seven less than third, Fortaleza. Even with the victory over Athletico-PR on Sunday (29/09), Tite was booed and cursed by the fans.

What was Tite’s salary at Flamengo?
According to a survey by ESPN, Tite’s commission receives 4.5 million euros (R$24.4 million) per year. Considering the payment of the 13th, the group’s salary is around R$1.8 million per month.
