Dino criticizes the statement that he would be hated more than Moraes – 12/12/2024 – Brasília Hoje

The minister of the (Federal Supreme Court) made a joke this Thursday (12) about having ‘more enemies’ than his colleague Alexandre de Moraes, after the decision to maintain restrictions on parliamentary amendments.

“Yesterday an article came out that I received as further proof of the disrespect for the autonomy of the Judiciary,” he said. “I want to say that this is disrespectful because he is the oldest and the primacy is his, I won’t give up on that. I can come in second place, third place, I don’t care about this championship”, he joked.

The speech, in reference to the column published on Uol that dealt with the clash between the STF minister and Congress, was made during the STF in action event, organized by the IEJA (Institute of Applied Legal Studies), in Brasília. The text said that by blocking amendments, Dino would have ‘gained more enemies than Moraes’.

Flávio Dino parliamentarians, used by deputies and senators to send money for works and projects in their electoral bases.

Ministers had already defined a series of new rules and restrictions for the allocation of money, which generated tension between the Powers.
