A well-known psychic believes that recent discoveries on Mars may point to a possible civilization. Athos Salomé, known as the “living Nostradamus”, sparked a heated debate when he shared his views on NASA’s recent discoveries on Mars, writes the portal.
NASA scientists analyzed samples taken from Gale Crater and identified carbon-rich minerals that point to a large amount of evaporated water in Mars’ past. According to Salomé, these findings could indicate that the red planet once went through drastic climate changes that made it inhospitable to life.
“If liquid water and conditions that could support life ever existed on Mars, we may wonder if any form of civilization ever developed there. Science continues to advance when people are willing to seek answers to troubling questions. It follows that that the idea of the existence of Mars and life in the past, let alone intelligent forms, may surprise researchers,” Salome claims. Scientists, unlike him, are reticent in determining the possibility of life on the planet.
Salomé is strikingly persistentthat space agencies and the scientific community can strategically manage information about important discoveries to avoid violent cultural, religious, or societal reactions.
NASA is currently investigating the wet and dry cycles on the Red Planet and the conditions that led to the evaporation of water on Mars. The agency emphasizes the importance of the planet’s climate change for understanding its geological history.
Athos Salomé for the Daily Star predicted that artificial intelligence would not only collect data, but also predict geological, meteorological and chemical changes in extraterrestrial environments.
He believes rovers and probes will eventually operate semi-independently, adapting their mission plans in real time based on observed conditions. “The introduction of autonomous artificial intelligence systems with predictive and learning capabilities would allow deeper and more efficient exploration of celestial bodies such as Mars, the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, and even asteroids,” thinks the self-proclaimed living Nostradamus.
The Perseverance rover on Mars has reached the edge of Jezero crater after several months of ascent. On December 10, the right front navigation camera of the rover sent the first view of Earth over the crater rim from the Lookout Hill site, reports TASR with reference to the NASA website and CNN television. The robotic explorer will continue to examine the composition of rocks and microfossils, which will provide scientists with new information about the history of the planet and whether the conditions for life existed there.
For example, during the ascent, Perseverance discovered a zebra-shaped striped stone, which scientists named Freya Castle. It probably rolled here from another place, because its composition differs from the surrounding bedrock. In October, he again encountered several bright white stones the size of a melon, which the vehicle’s instruments confirmed to be pure quartz.
