The State Sports Department made 60 deliveries of sports equipment in 56 municipalities in 2024.
According to the ministry, R$29 million was invested in newly opened or renovated locations. By November, 25 leisure arenas had been built and 35 gyms revitalized.
“The secretariat’s mission is to strengthen the sports culture throughout the state. To achieve this, it is crucial to offer quality sports equipment”, says the Sports Secretary, Colonel Helena Reis.
The leisure arenas consist of a society football field with a basketball court, open 24 hours a day. The gyms have a range of activities and can receive training from amateur and professional teams.
