O youtuber MrBeastthe creator with the most subscribers around the world on the famous platform, stated that he rented the Pyramids of Giza to film a video and “discover the secrets of all the rooms”.
The influencer, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, said during Beyond The Records with Olympian Noah Lyles that he worked with the Egyptian government and gained exclusive access to explore ancient Egyptian landmarks.
“We have access to the three pyramids in Egypt for 100 hours”, he said: “I’m going to make a video in which they let me explore whatever I want in the pyramids” — “let’s sleep in the pyramids, they are just for us”.
“I’ve never been inside,” he said, “I want to discover secrets and go through all the rooms, tombs and that kind of thing.”

Despite the bold announcement, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities was quick to deny the YouTuber’s claims, who was recently invited by the national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo for a conversation on the Portuguese star’s new channel on the social network of which MrBeast is king, with 337 million subscribers. Since then, the two have made several videos together.
The most followed YouTuber in the world, who became famous thanks to games, challenges and lately, for being an extravagant showcase of the money he has been accumulating, also has a significant presence on other platforms, including TikTok, where he has more than 104 million followers , and X, where he has more than 30 million followers.
Egypt denies rent
In a Facebook post, the Egyptian ministry clarified that although MrBeast and his team had authorization to filmthe authorized activity took place outside normal working hours and none of the historic areas were closed to the public for these purposes.
Furthermore, the filming respected Egyptian tourism promotion guidelines and showcased the country’s archaeological treasures. During filming, MrBeast and his team were accompanied by archaeologists at the site, the ministry further confirmed.
