Munich – FC Bayern Munich has temporarily extended its lead in the German Bundesliga. A week after the narrow 1-2 defeat in Mainz, Bayern showed a different face and clearly defeated RB Leipzig 5-1 at home at the start of the 15th matchday. Coach Vincent Kompany’s team is currently seven points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, and the reigning champions can shorten the gap against Freiburg on Saturday (6:30 p.m.).
