Consolação Station will close from 4pm on the 31st until 6am on the 1st of January
With the arrival of the end of year festivities, (CPTM) and São Paulo announced different opening hours to meet passenger demand during the year. On December 24th, Christmas Eve, all metro lines, including the Blue, Green, Red and Silver Line, will operate with a working day fleet, ensuring that users can travel with ease. On Christmas Day, December 25th, the lines will operate from 4am to midnight, but with a reduced fleet, similar to that on a Sunday.
For New Year’s Eve, on December 31st, special measures will be adopted to avoid crowds. Paraíso, Brigadeiro and Trianon-Masp stations will remain open without interruption during New Year’s Eve, until January 1st. However, the Consolação station, which is close to the party stage on Avenida Paulista, will be closed at 4pm on the 31st and will reopen at 6am on the 1st, to ensure passenger safety and facilitate access control.
On January 1, 2025, the metro lines will resume normal operation, with boarding starting at 4:40 am. To ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, the staff and security agents will be reinforced at stations close to the New Year’s Eve venue. Tickets can be purchased normally at the ticket offices at Paraíso, Brigadeiro and Trianon-Masp stations throughout the night, while at other stations, tickets will be sold until 2:30 am.
CPTM will also have a special schedule: on the 24th, train circulation on the Rubi, Turquesa, Coral, Safira and Jade lines, including the Expresso Aeroporto service, will be normal. On the 25th, the schedule will be like that of a Sunday. On the 31st, circulation will be normal, and on January 1st, breaks will follow the Sunday schedule.
