Last week, the public was in the spotlight in the . These are the Internet users who chose the songs from the evaluations or the duets/solos from the December 21 bonus. And that evening, no student still competing was eliminated. But that’s not all! Maylis, Paul, Thomas, Noah, Julie, Masseo and Emma have made their comeback, in the hope of securing a place on the tour. Each performed a song to convince viewers to vote for them. In the end, it is. A choice that was not necessarily unanimous. Asked by Purepeopleshe returned to the criticism she received.
When did you find out about this draft?
About ten days ago I would say. We were told that we had to be available for rehearsals and bonuses. Basically, we were told that we were coming to surprise the academics for the Christmas bonus. But a few days before the bonus, we were told that it was finally not just a song to sing to others, but that it was a draft bonus for the tour. It was a lot of emotions.
How did you prepare?
As soon as I had the choice of my song, I worked from home by myself. Then we all had a video with a rehearsal teacher before rehearsals the day before the prime. And it was gone.
Did the tutors or teachers give you any advice?
We had a video, but it was quite quick, because Fanny Delaigue and Fanny Delaigue are also at the castle with the others. They were still very present to give us as much advice as possible so that we didn’t get too lost.
Did you choose your song? Before youthe duo of Vitaa and Slimane)?
No, it’s a song that was imposed on us. Afterwards, I love listening to this song, even if performing it is different. But I was very happy to be given Vitaa, I love it.
You’ve had a chance to see social media since your release. Many people deplored, following your elimination, that you were not participating in the tour. Did you end up winning?
No way. We clearly saw that the messages varied on social networks. When I was eliminated, they said it was unfair, that I deserved the tour. And when I got my place on tour, I was told that it wasn’t deserved. Well… (laughs). But I wasn’t the favorite, because between people on social networks and those who vote, it’s not the same thing. There are people who support me and who are more likely to subscribe to my Instagram account than vote, which I understand. This is a financial investment that not everyone can afford. So I wasn’t going to be a winner. It was very tight anyway.
According to some, it was planned in advance. What do you have to say to them?
These are the same people who said I was never going to go out and I did. You should not listen to estimates. It’s not a foregone conclusion, it’s not my father’s show. We all had our chances, people mobilized enormously. But maybe at one point my votes were a little over on the home stretch. I can’t explain what happened, but it was close. It wasn’t a foregone conclusion in my head and in real life.
With the other students who were competing, did you discuss this repechage? Had some delivered their predictions?
Above all, we supported each other. It was a lot of pressure, we all saw things on social media before the prime. So we said to ourselves that we were going to take advantage of this chance to sing together on the prime. We tried to do something super cool, a moment of sharing between us.
