Health insurance companies have confirmed that the eRecipe system is fully functional again. It is possible to prescribe all medicines electronically, including medicines with full payment by the patient.
“Starting today already our contracted providers can again prescribe electronically with the flag JASAM/full patient reimbursement and pharmacies can issue these prescriptions,” Marianna Bublavá, spokeswoman for the General Health Insurance Company, confirmed for TASR.
Electronic re-prescribing of all medicines via the eRecept system, the health insurance company (ZP) Dôvera and Union ZP also confirmed. “On Thursday (January 9), we received a statement from the Ministry of Health (MOH), on the basis of which the Office for Personal Data Protection agreed with the Ministry of Health’s guidance,” explained Union insurance spokeswoman Beáta Dupaľová Ksenzsighová.
Health Minister Kamil Šaško (Voice-SD) said on Thursday that no later than Friday, the re-prescription of electronic prescriptions for all types of drugs will be launched. The Ministry of Health has clarified that e-prescriptions will be prescribed according to the methodological guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.
Since January, the possibility of electronic prescribing of prescriptions for some medicines has been limitedfor example those paid by the patient. It resulted from an amendment to the Act on the National Health Information System.
