Al-Duwadimi – Motorcycle leader Daniel Sanders’ lead has melted after the rest day of the Dakar Rally. The Australian KTM rider had to settle for ninth place on the stage on Saturday after 829 kilometers (434 of which were counted) from Ha’il to Al-Duwadimi. His lead over pursuer Tosha Schareina from Spain shrank to 11:46 minutes. The day’s victory, his first this year, was also won by a Honda rider, last year’s winner Ricky Brabec from the USA.
