Plane failed to land on runway on the coast of SP, crossed avenue and exploded on the beach; pilot died
A new video shows the attempted landing of the small plane that after trying to land at the airport in , on the coast of , on January 9th. The pilot of the aircraft died and the other 4 passengers were taken to hospitals.
The new images show another angle of the plane’s attempted landing. The aircraft crosses the runway, passes through the fence that separated it from the street and explodes.

The passengers on the aircraft are all from the same family. The mother is businesswoman Mireylle Fries, 41 years old, who is in serious condition. Her husband and father of the two children is Bruno Almeida, 48 years old. After the accident, they were taken to Santa Casa de Ubatuba and everyone is stable.
The assessment of one of the children said that she had “potentially serious” shortly after being rescued, but is now stable.
There are also 3 other people who were at a skate park close to where they were hit. In total, 5 were taken to Santa Casa.
O (Public Ministry of São Paulo) initiated a procedure to investigate the plane crash in Ubatuba.
The Cessna Aircraft model 525, prefix PR-GFS, was acquired by the Fries family in 2010. With capacity for 8 passengers on board, it is listed in the RAB (Brazilian Aeronautical Register) of Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency), but had its operation denied for air taxi. Mireylle Fries owns 5.56% of the jet, acquired from family members.
Cenipa (Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center) will investigate the causes of the explosion. The investigators were called by the regional arm of the agency.
“The conclusion of this investigation will take as short a time as possible, always depending on the complexity of the occurrence and also the need to discover possible contributing factors.”, said Cenipa.
