Rescue operation in South Africa: 36 dead people recovered from gold mine shaft

Johannesburg – A rescue operation to recover illegal miners from a disused gold mine shaft in South Africa has recovered 36 bodies in two days. Police said on Tuesday that 82 people had left the mine alive since Monday but were arrested. It is not known how many miners are stuck.
