Belgrade – Eight people died in a fire in a retirement home in the Belgrade suburb of Barajevo on Monday night. Another seven people were taken to hospital with injuries. 13 residents escaped unscathed. The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m., said Social Affairs Minister Nemanja Starović. According to the Interior Ministry, the cause of the fire was still unclear.
