What is Grêmio’s interest in Tiago Volpi?
According to the journalist, Tiago Volpi would be interested in leaving Toluca, apparently for personal reasons. The termination, in fact, should occur soon.
The idea is that Volpi is free to settle with the Immortal. At the moment, he is seen as the main option to replace Marchesín’s departure, and the agreement would be few details.
Volpi has been at Toluca since 2022, when he left São Paulo for the Mexican team. In total, he played 108 games for the club. Therefore, it should arrive at no cost to Grêmio, which sees hiring a goalkeeper as a priority given the imminent departure of the starter.

What is the negotiation involving Marchesín?
According to journalist Germán García Grova, from broadcaster TyC Sports, the desire to move to Argentina came from Marchesín himself, who turned to the Boca Juniors board to convince Grêmio to close the contract.
Boca Juniors first presented an offer of US$800,000 (around R$4.8 million), but backed down because they wanted the termination fine provided for in the contract to be paid.
