Donald Trump didn’t spend long in his inauguration speech on Monday with phrases of reconciliation or humility: God saved his life during the shooting attack in the summer so that he could make America great again. And then he indulged in preemptive self-praise. Size, one might sarcastically observe, seemed to be primarily a measure of Trump’s madness.
