Zverev, who is in great form after fully recovering from a fractured right ankle suffered in the 2022 edition of Roland Garros, remains without a Grand Slam title.

The 27-year-old athlete had already lost the 2020 US Open final, to Austrian Dominic Thiem, and the Roland Garros final in 2024, to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The German had four wins and two defeats against the Italian until this Sunday and managed to have a balanced final. But Sinner simply had no fluctuations during the match and didn’t give up space. In the first set, Zverev kept the score tied, until he suffered a break of service with 4/3 on the scoreboard for Sinner, who, with his powerful serve, confirmed the service then and won the partial with an ace.

In the second set, the match remained balanced until the eighth game, with both tennis players confirming their services. In the ninth game, however, Zverev broke Sinner’s serve. Soon after, however, the Italian recovered and, with a powerful serve, also broke the German’s, equalizing at 5/5. The match went to a tie-break and Sinner closed at 7-4. In the third set the break came a little earlier, at 3/2 for the Italian.

Once again, the world number 1 showed no signs of weakness, Zverev had no strength to recover and Sinner managed the victory without any fear.
