Not every game that enters the story of a team, a rivalry or football promises to be historical even before the ball rolls – but this was the case of this Saturday’s classic (1), the long -awaited BA -VE 500. Victory of the century, first of the year and number 500 since the initial duel in 1932, the confrontation received the two undefeated teams of the season and a new source stuffed, but disappointed to deliver the emotion it promised.>
If one word marked the classic, it was rivalry. In a popular match, more fights were said than in prominent throws, witnessing numerous push-pushing players on the field. When they were made, the vast majority of the plays belonged to Bahia, who dominated the match in possession and offensive. The lion, on the other hand, had Lucas Archangel as his guardian angel, compensating a contained game that played only midfield to defense with grabbed balls in the face of the goal.>
Among many complaints with arbitration that did not mark the red-black delays on the field, the Bahia fans were not satisfied with the scoreless score, but carried the name of the team that worked most on the field, highlighting the essential role of Caio Alexandre on line. For the lion, is the security of first place in the table, and the gratitude to the goalkeeper who ensured that Ba-V 500 would not become a milestone in tricolor history.>
The game
Ba-Vi 500 promised, above all, rivalry, and showed that it came without delay. With less than ten minutes of play, the match had already been paralyzed twice by confusion on the field, which came to a heated push among the players. >
At first, a disagreement between Caio Alexandre and Janderson gave the tone of the discussions, continued less than a minute later with a foul marked by the referee and disobeyed by Gustavo Mosquito, who kicked the goal and received the immediate retaliation of Jean Lucas. Between fights and yellow cards, the beginning of the classic was marked by a clear superiority of Bahia, especially in possession, firmly dominated by the home team.

Leaving the tricolor defense free of offensive attacks, the lion’s marking only appeared from midfield, without creating bids like opponents. The only chance created came from Fabri’s feet, ending out of Danilo Fernandes’s goal. The hope of the red-black at first caught was the chance of counterattack, without advancing or facilitating the work of Bahia’s defensive transition. Vitória’s highlight was undoubtedly Lucas Arcanjo, who countered the favorable statistics for goals from the opponent and held a well -crafted completion of Lucho Rodríguez in the face of Gol.>
The interval did not cool at all, and returned both teams for more fights. Ball already paralyzed with a minute of play and at five in the first half, always with pushing players after any tight bid. Lion da Barra returned to the field a little more lit, starting to create offensive plays and leaving the defense, but without threat. In a second more tactically balanced stage, the tricolor complaints of faults not marked by arbitration were standing out.>
Another pattern that followed for the second stage was the protagonism of Lucas Arcanjo, the biggest obstacle to the triumph of Bahia. In more moves, the goalkeeper of Vitória saved the team on the field, defending balls like Erick Pulga face face to face with the goal, as well as “gain time” countless times with significant delays to calm opposing plays. On the tricolor side, one of the main highlights is Caio Alexandre, participant in almost all the main balls created in the dispute.>
The last big move was an almost goal against Hugo. Coming from a foul charged by Juba, the ball was headed by Kanu and narrowly diverted by the red-black player, reaffirming the focus on the defense of Vitória throughout the game.>
