An expected ending: "Anora" wins Oscar for best movie

The most anticipated prize of the night goes to “Anora” and makes the movie leave the Oscars with four golden statuettes.

The work tells the story of Anora “ani” mikheeva (Mikey Madison), one stripper and luxury escort 23, “Arrested” to the sex industry in a club in New York, the United States. During a night of work, “Ani” knows Ivan ‘vanya’ zakharov (Mark Eydelshteyn)a 21 -year -old son of a Russian oligarch surrounded by money.

The two begin by living a true “fairy tale” – sexo, drugs, money, constant parties and a marriage to the mixture – which quickly turns into a nightmare when the news arrives in Russia.

Along with “Anora”, which added six nominations and five Oscars, were nominated for the best movie “The Brutalist”, “A Complete Unknown”, “Conclave”, “Dune: Part Two”, “Emilia Pérez”, “Nickel Boys”, “The Substance”, “Wicked” and “I’m still here” by Walter Salles.

The 97th edition of the academy prizes took place this Sunday at Dolby Theater in Hollywood, with 52 films named in 23 categories.
