The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), participates on Tuesday (11) in the opening of a course on democracy and digital communication. His presence is scheduled for a table with the Minister of (Attorney General of the Union), Jorge Messias, and the director general of, Andrei Rodrigues.
The MBA is will be offered by FGV Comunicação (School of Communication, Media and Information from the Getulio Vargas Foundation), in partnership with AGU, and will have the inaugural class on Tuesday night. The theme of the debate will be the challenges of regulating digital platforms.
Moraes is a rapporteur for both the Supreme Fake News inquiry, opened in 2019 and investigating offenses and threats to the court, many of them through social networks, and cases related to scammer acts of 8 January 2023.
The minister has been dedicated to the theme also outside the Supreme Court. Amid large technology companies, he gave a speech of about 40 minutes to new students from USP Law School on February 24.
“They are not neutral. They are economic groups that want to dominate world economy and politics, ignoring borders, ignoring the national sovereignty of each country, ignoring legislations, to have power and profit,” he said.
