Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov opposed the temporary ceasefire proposed by the United States, accepted by Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski, in an interview for a Russian television channel on Thursday.
“This proposed ceasefire is nothing more than a temporary truce for the Ukrainian military. Our goal is a long -term peace agreement, ”he said.
According to the representative, the Russians want a peace agreement that takes into consideration “the legitimate interests and concerns” of Russia, which, he said, are known. “No one needs steps that imitate a peaceful path,” said Ushakov.
