Vienna invested almost 130 million euros in bike paths in four years

The bicycle traffic in Vienna is increasing: In the previous year, five percent more cyclists were registered than in 2023. The Red-Pink city government points out that improving the cycling infrastructure has contributed to the new record. On the other hand, the investments were also bitterly necessary in order to meet the radical radical share that has been increasing in recent years. In addition, cargo bikes or e-scooters, who also use the bike track, need significantly more space.
