The former president, 94, was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday (16) and should continue at home in Brasilia for the next seven days. Sarney was evaluated by the Brasilia Águas Claras Hospital and released by the medical team.
The hospital stated in a statement that the former president’s clinical condition is stable. Laboratory and image exams indicated “within normality” results. Sarney was medicated at the hospital and released to be at home rest.
“The former president is clinically stable, the exams are within normal, it was not necessary to internal it, he was medicated and recommended rest for seven (7) days,” said doctor Nubia Welerson Vieira on Thursday (17).
