Wasserburg am Inn – Werner Lorant is dead. The German cult coach died on Easter Sunday after a long illness in a hospital in Wasserburg am Inn. Lorant turned 76. This was announced by TSV 1860 Munich, with which the club with which Lorant had experienced the greatest times as a coach. Lorant took over in the third division in July 1992, with him the promotion from the Bayernliga to the Bundesliga.
