A friend of gloss who lived with him in Türkiye revealed that the young man lived consumed with negative thoughts, about poverty, collapse of civilizations and the dream of saving the planet from an ecological crisis. According to the young man, Gloss was convinced that “Western hegemony was coming to an end” and “the Brics would take their place.”

Another young man recalls the revolt expressed against the United States of America while sharing video attacks in Gaza. The young man recalls that it was at this moment that he saw gloss determined to head towards Russia and “fight the US”. “But I think those conspiracy theories videos really affected him,” he admits.

On his page of the Russian social network Vkontakte, the young man described himself as a supporter of the multipolar world. “I ran away from home. I traveled around the world. I hate fascism. I love my homeland,” accompanied by flags from Russia and Palestine.

Data obtained by the investigation show that the young man entered Russia through Georgia in August 2023. A month later, medical records of gloss that detail Yablochkova Street in Moscow as his home. This is the address that is attributed to all volunteers who arrive in the Russian capital to fight for Vladimir Putin’s army.

Michael Gloss’s father stated that the young man thought he would be part of a Russian army support unit. But the truth is that the son of the CIA deputy director was sent to the 137th Aerotransported Regiment. The last time he entered Telegram was on March 14, 2024, two weeks before his unit began an offensive against Ukrainian positions. However, the exact circumstances of Michael Gloss’s death are not known.
