The coalition CIS will not retreat from the topic of transaction tax. The ultimate goal is its complete cancellation, but currently wants to enforce at least its cancellation for traders and entrepreneurs with a turnover of up to EUR 100,000. The appropriate proposal is already filed in Parliament, first of all he wants to discuss it in the coalition, but cannot prevent the opposition in its support. He said this in the Sunday discussion session of the stations of 5 minutes 12 Chairman of the nationalists Andrej Danko.

He refused to coordinate his progress with the opposition. At the same time, he recalled that the need for transaction tax was also admitted by the Prime Minister and chairman of the coalition Direction-SD Robert Fico. “In the first step, I am discussing Robert Fico and it looks like we will agree, even with Mr. (Matuš Šutaj) Eštok. In the second step, when it goes to the vote, I cannot prevent the opposition from being voting or not,” Declared Danko. “I would like it to be abolished completely, but it is important for me to preserve the government,” added.

At the same time, he criticized the idea of the Ministry of Finance to simplify payments through QR codes, which the department is preparing to help entrepreneurs. “If some people at the Ministry of Finance think they will now tell entrepreneurs that they will come QR codes and someone is going to prepare a large business in the financial report, but you will not have to pay transaction taxes because you will use QR codes …

It acknowledges that the abolition of the transaction tax would mean a failure in the state budget, but according to him, it is possible to find money that would compensate for this outage. “If we transferred VAT to the last end (entrepreneur) who is in contact with the consumer, we would save a billion euros. Danko added that he is curious about the draft budget for next year, as he has not seen him yet.

Chairman of the opposition SaS Branislav Gröhling He described the financial transactions tax as a “stupid tax” that only works in two countries of the world, Venezuela and Hungary. “Robert Fico and Mr. Kamenicky invented it, approved it in the government, then came to parliament where MEPs for Smer, Voice, CIS, and Mr. Danko voted for it and then President Peter Pellegrini signed it. So what are they doing here now? We are to look forward to seeing or so that traders are supposed to make sure that they are going to make any modifications? ” criticized.

He declared that the SaS would support the CIS proposal to limit the transaction tax. However, it is not fair to introduce various exceptions. He therefore announced that his party will re -submit a proposal to complete the abolition of this tax, which had not passed in Parliament once in December last year. He called on the CIS to support such a proposal.

In his own words, the head of the liberals does not believe that the transaction tax will bring to the budget of the expected EUR 700 million. “As I sit here, I can tell you that 700 million euros will not be, even if it was. That was something invented. You see what all entrepreneurs do, that they call on not having to pay a transactional tax that burdens them to pay cash, ” approached Gröhling.

According to him, money can be found in particular by the fact that the state will save on itself. For example, by limiting unnecessary ministries, unnecessary purchases, or more direct social benefits. “Let’s take a look at the thirteenth pensions. I want pensioners to have 12 full pensions. But we can’t live on a debt. When the family has 200 euros for payouts, it cannot buy for 600 euros, and this is how the state must look at it. added Gröhling.
