Firefighters from Bidoviec intervened on Saturday night, shortly before 2:30 a.m., when a bus full of passengers caught fire on Dargovsko hill. “Upon arrival at the scene, the bus was already fully engulfed in flames, while all passengers were outside the vehicle,” the fire department said on the social network.
The reinforcements from Košice also lent a helping hand. A tanker truck and an evacuation bus of the Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene. „Firefighters used 13,000 liters of water, four extinguishing jets and foam to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries in the incident. The passengers were placed in the fire brigade’s evacuation bus until the replacement bus arrived.” specified that the cause of the fire was an operational-technical malfunction.
