AMCHAM research shows an increase in engaged sustainability companies

A trend pointed out by the survey is the increase in investments in clean energy and decarbonization (51%) and the emergence of “more reliable and standardized” metrics and reports (52%).

More than half of respondents (51%) arise in the future to measure and boost business sustainability.

Participants indicated which actions understand that the government should do to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices by the private sector. Firstly, the suggestion of expanding tax incentives and credit lines to companies considered sustainable.

Another initiative is to improve infrastructure, such as solar and wind energy, as well as businesses related to circular economy and waste management. The interviewees too indicated as important “Reduce incentives for polluting practices and pricing carbon emissions.”
